The Waikoloa Beach
Resort has many activities and amentities that our guests can
enjoy
- Discount golf rates at the 2 golf courses in the resort area:
the Beach
Course, designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr and the Kings'
Course designed by Tom Weiskopf. Let the club house pros know
you are staying in the resort area at the Waikoloa Colony Villas to
receive a discount.
- Excellent restaurants are within walking distance of our villa
at the hotels and the King's Shops where you'll find a lovely
setting on the King's Lake with a veiw of the opening holes of the
Beach Course. These include Merriman's Market Cafe,
Roys of
Hawaii and the Big
Island Steak House. Starbucks is also located there for that
jolt of java when you need it.
- The King's Shops
also has wonderful shopping and galleries for your enjoyment. The
Whaler's General Store is an upscale convience store with a small
selection of food and picnic items. Free Hula shows and and other
entertainment and lessons occur daily at th King's Shops as
well.
- The Queens'
Marketplace with an upscale market, cultural gardens, and open
air performance theatre is set to open the end of 2007!
- Special
Events and Cultural
Activities such as lei making, hula lessons and shows are
available almost every day at the Kings' Shops.
- The King's
Trail to the petroglyphs is accessable from outside our Villa's
lanai doors.
- The public beach at
Anaeho'omalu Bay or "A-Bay" winds through beautiful native
fauna and past ancient royal fishponds. The sandy beach offers
snorkeling, windsurfing and kayaking and picnic facilities. Next to
the Outrigger Hotel you can avail yourself of their amentities as
well. There
- For walkers and joggers, there are sidewalks and bike paths
around the resort as well as a lovely shoreline trail from the
Marriott Hotel all the way to Hilton.
